Trek Description:
Kuari Pass Trek is very popular. The Kuari pass is also known as Curzon's trail since the British viceroy, George Curzon,attempted crossing it and loved exploring this area. Though the pass is not very high it offers excellent views of Nanda Devi, Dunagiri and other Himalayan peaks. The Nanda Devi national park and the Rishi Ganga gorge are visible from the first day itself. While you camp on the lush green, infinitely unfolding meadow of the Gorsons, which can turn white anytime of the year, and as you move your head around, your eyes are gifted with grand views of 4 peaks of Chaukhamba, Neelkanth, Mana, Kamet, Hathi, Ghodi, Trishul, Nandaghunti, Nanda Devi, Dunagiri.

Day 1

Reach Joshimath/Auli from Dehradoon

Check‐in at GMVN Auli Tourist Bungalow, Auli or Himalayan Eco Lodge, Auli

Day 2

Auli to Gorson bugyal

Altitude: 8,800 ft. to 10,500 ft.
Time taken: 3.5 – 4 hours
Distance: 4.2 km

Day 3

Gorson Bugyal to Chitrakantha

Altitude: 10,500 ft. to 11,000 ft.
Time taken: 4‐5 hours
Distance: 7.2 km

Day 4

Chitrakantha to Kuari Pass and back to Khullara

Distance: 7.7 km
Time taken: 5 to 6 hours
Altitude: 11,000 ft. to 12,559 ft. back to 11,000 ft.

Day 5

Trek from Khullara to Dhak/Tapoban and back to Auli

Khulara to Dhak Village/Tapoban and drive to Joshimath/Auli.
