Early morning at 5:00 AM depart for Nal sarovar where the birds have traveled 3500 kms from its nesting ground in Central Europe to spend the winter at Nalsarovar in Nal Sarovar. Clouds upon clouds of more than 200 types of birds land in this lake having made an equally long journey to escape the harsh winter of their nesting areas. Early morning after breakfast free time in resort and after lunch in the noon depart for Velavadar park for Safari, which is a large piece of flat land with a lot of grass! Ideal for the Black bucks and Nilgais (India's largest antelope). The Wolf is the main predator in the area. The Striped Hyena often steals a kill from the wolf. The Jackal roams about and is an opportunist. The Indian fox and the Jungle cat are also common in the area. Black bucks are "Antelopes" found mainly in India. They are fast and are known to reach speeds of up to 80 km/hr. The male bucks are a distinctive black and white and have long twisted horns, while females are fawn coloured with no horns. After safari return to resort and night halt in Velavadar.
