Joranda Mela (Sadhu Festival) with Tribal Wonder in Orissa

Upon arrival at Bhubaneswar meet tour representative and transfer to hotel , if time permit visit the ancient Khandagiri and Udaygiri jain cave- 2nd c BC.

Over night - Bhubaneswar

Morning by road transfer to Phulbani.
Enroute visit the Kondh tribal community and panoramic view of Eastern Ghat and Mahanadi river.
Phulbani- the gateway of wonderful tribal land.

Overnight - Phulbani

After breakfast drive towards Kondhmal area meet the kutia tribes (tattoo faced) at their isolated village in the core jungle area, and then proceed towards Rayagada check in a clean and comfort hotel at there.

Overnight - Rayagada.

Moring proceed towards very remote Desia tribe village on the high hill top- but our vehicle would proceed upto the village and warm welcomed by the Desia kondh tribe - enjoy their cultural program (marriage song by young unmarried village girls- in special request/ we have very good local relation so our guide can handle of that.
Visit their weekly market too, while return back visit the Dokra craft village- and excursion their unique ancient tech. of live Dokra craft at their village.
Back to Rayagada and relax at your hotel.
If time permit visit the tribal goddess temple - “Maa Majhighoriani”

Meet the colorful Dongria tribe their weekly market ( famously known as Chatikona) after couple of hr. excursion over there drive towards Jeypore , enroute meet the Kuvi kondh tribe at their isolated village, explore the life style of Paraja tribe at their famous Weekly market at Podagarh,

Jeypore - one of the ancient cultural town of orissa , where still has the ruin heritage palace .

Meet the most colorful Bonda tribe at their weekly market (famously know as Onkadelly) , explore and excursion their life style.
Visit the gorgeous Machhakund waterfall and the panoramic view of nature, meet the colorful Gadhava tribe at their village and enjoy the most Dhemsha group dance (we are the only tour operator who organize this group dance , with proper costume and music, because we have very good local relation and we believe of sustainable trip)

After noon heritage walk of the Royal grand road at Jeypore.

Overnight - Jeypore

Meet the colorful Dhuruva tribe at their isolated village in Gupteswar region during hiking their village ( it is flat land to hiking their village- 1hr) ( we have very good local relation, if you interest we organize the tribal group dance with proper costume and music at the village ambiance and during that time our guide and drive will prepare organic hygienic food for you , if you interest) and then visit the hidden shiva shrine on the top of hills (optional , because it is 200 steps to climb) then visit the river ghat of Saveri. Then return back to Jeypore.

Overnight - Jeypore

Morning drive towards Kalahandi (one of the famous princely state of weastern orissa), enroute hiking the Gond tribal village and pre- historic rock art site and meet the Bhumiya tribes at their village.
Check in a nice heritage palace, meet the greet by the royal family with royal hospitality.
Enjoy the royal dinner at their dinning hall.
Over night the same palace (heritage property).

Overnight - Bhavanipatna

Morning proceed towards Sonepur (the second temple city of orissa) enroute visit the ancient 64 yogini temple (10th c AD) at Ranipur Jharial, meet the unique textile weaver at their weaving village near Balangir (famous for Bomkai pattern) , check in an only basic hotel at Sonepur. ( but it has proper big room, large bed, fan, aircon, with attached toilet and bathroom)

Morning enjoy the panoramic view of Mahanadi river ghat while on catamaran boating (with boatman) , enroute visit the unique ancient star shaped temple at Bauda (9th c AD).
Check in a nice heritage palace at Dhenkanal. Enjoy the royal dinner with royal hospitality at the royal dinning hall.

Overnight- Dhenkanal

Morning enjoy the royal breakfast on the open royal garden and then proceed to famous Joranda grand monastery (25 km from Dhenkanal) with pack lunch and water bottle and then full day enjoy the special worship proceesion at the main monastery , also visit the Dhuni Mandir, Sunya mandir , Gosala at their and then during evening return back to Dhenkanal palace again for over night stay.

Morning after breakfast check out and departure for Joranda again participate the main “Bikhya” process with Mahima sadhus and then during evening proceed to Bhubaneswar

Overnight- Bhubaneswar

Morning explore the ancient temple at Old part of Bhubaneswar on chronological order to excursion the evolution of ancient temple art- such as Parasurameshwar-7th c AD, Mukteswar-9th c AD, Lingaraj -11th c AD (Lingaraj temple is only temple in Bhubaneswar that only hindus are allowed , so you will see the temple on platform only).
Then check in a nice hotel on beach at Puri. Free evening for self.

Overnight- Puri

visit the classic part of Puri over cycle rickshaw (2hr) such as cremation place ( famously called “swargadwar” and it’s like Varanasi), ancient pond, ancient school- Gurukul, traditional street etc.
then drive towards Raghurajpur – meet the classic artisan and excurision their classic painting tech called – Pattachitra, enjoy the classic gotipua- Odishi group dance at Gurukul- (Proper custom and traditional music with real classical dancing village ambiance).
Afternoon visit the world famous sun temple at Konark, excrusion the language of stone of 13th c AD.

Overnight- Puri

Morning after breakfast check out (here at Puri almost every hotel check out time is 8am) and proceed towards Bhubaneswar airport for your onward journey.
