Ghangaria is a splendid village in northern Himalayan ranges of Uttarakhand. It perches at a height of 3,049 meters and lies on the way to Sikh pilgrimage site Hemkund and UNESCO world heritage site Valley of flowers. Ghangaria is a peaceful settlement where an individual can cut himself from the hectic schedule to rejuvenate his senses.

Ghangaria is located at the conflux of rivers Bhyandar Ganga & Pushpawati. These two rivers form Lakshmana Ganga that merges into River Alaknanda. The climate of Ghangaria remains pleasant. The scorching heat of summers is nowhere to be seen and temperatures remain constant between 10-20 degrees and the valley remains shrouded with snow. On the other side, winters bring heavy snowfall that blocks the passage connecting Ghangaria with Hemkund.

This village is the last inhabited village in Bhayandar valley and not has much of the facilities like petrol pumps, instant medical services and weak connectivity of mobile signals etc. The place also acts as a base camp for the travelers that en route to Hemkund and Valley of flowers.
